Not to be taken with other folic acid containing supplements. Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. The efficacy of folic acid supplements may be decreased by co-trimoxazole, sulphasalazine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone and methotrexate. Folic acid may decrease the effectiveness of methotrexate in the treatment of leukaemia
